Wow. This stuff is $95 at the egg and $80 at zzf, after 50 rebate. I don't
know whether to get 1 or 2. :/ Thanks!

Memory price is going up soon if you can afford it take 2.

Thanks, CrazyHorse. Didn't need that Laptop memory at the moment, but bought it anyway for possible future laptop purchase.

Exactly, I'm seeing the prices still dropping.

says SuperTalent because Samsung has stopped shipping chips. Keep an eye out and give it maybe until Intel brings out the new CPU's and you will see prices will go up.

That information i got from a Technician at SuperTalent Europe when I asked what chips were on a certain model ewiz had on sale that time. Fact is manufactures sell memory under price right now and chipmaker wont take it much longer.

Thanks for the post. Ordered 2 sets of Desktop memory for my new build. Also found EWiz selling the X2-6000 OEM for $185.99 shipped 😀

wow... damn.. no rebate too.

yes they do work right out of the box at 1.8-1.9 volt.

First set I tried had to run at 2.0 volts to boot windows with 4-4-4-15 timings. Prime95 memory test ran for 6 hours. I still have to do the memtest.

I m on testing one kit right now. As far as i found online they have ProMos Chips. However i can do easy 1000mhz via CL 5 at 2.0V or even 940 @ CL 4 4 4 i haven't messed with them yet alot so there might be more to come. I m not sure how true that is that they have ProMos on it but if they do that doesn't mean they don't overclock well. Might not reach the best D9 chips but then you have to get lucky these days anyway to get some good D9's.

I already have 2 gigs of this stuff, which I bought at like $230 AR around November... I would guess that memory prices are only going to rise from here since DDR3 is being introduced so I'm considering buying another 2 gigs. Would extra memory make much of a difference with xp x64 edition?

the laptop memory looks like its at $85 now...still a hot deal nonetheless. im looking for 2x1GB sticks or maybe a 2GB stick for my 20" core duo imac. i hope this'll work with it!

shouldn't be a problem.. i think the corsair ones also use promos stuff...

i have 4 gb running on xp 64.. damn thing is smooooooth... although software is a pain
