2x NVME RAID 0 and Boot Issues

Hi, I have a I7-8200X and a X299 Gigabyte Gaming 7 Pro motherboard. It has 2x 512 SM961 NVME M.2 drives running in RAID 0 and is the boot drive. About every other day my desktop will reboot overnight into the BIOS and says it cannot detect the drives. After turning my desktop off for 15 seconds the BIOS will find the drive and boot into Windows 10. I'm not sure what is causing this issue. I wanted a RAID 0 setup because I work with multiple VMs at a time and very large GIS datasets for my job. If anyone could help solve this issue I would be very grateful. Thank you.

try a 3rd party raid controller with NVME support. also, test two low-end SSD's in RAID 0 just to pinpoint the issue, on the same rig, with or without the 3rd party raid controller.

those samsung SSD's don't always favor RAID 0 in certain raid controllers.
