2wire and ipsec (vpn)

Hello...
i have a linksys BEFVP41 that is setup as a vpn server. I want to connect to the BEFVP41 from home w/ a 2wire 1700hw router/modem (bellsouth). I setup ssh sentinel to connect to the BEFVP41, but im not able to connect. I am, however, able to connect from another location using another router and the same ssh sentinel settings.

I am 99% sure it is related to the 2wire settings or that particular connection (bellsouth). Any suggestions? Im a total newb with this router as it is not mine. How do i allow ipsec traffic... is there some setting i need to enable/disable or should i just give up and buy a linksys?

So you have a DSL router hooked up to another router...

that could get hairy...

Have you thought about setting the 2wire to bridge mode and letting the BEFVP41 handle everything?

oops. i actually got this problem solved. My modem wasn't syncing correctly.. thats what was keeping me from connecting.
