2TB SSD in 2016 MBP

More or less, yeah. It's not quite as fast as the 960 Pro, but pretty close - they claim 3.1 read & 2.1 write. Apple has actually been using PCIe NVMe SSD's since like 2015. Downside is they like to go the SoC approach & solder those puppies on, so you get what you get when you order it. So good call on the 2TB!
 
Yes I have the 1TB in my 2015 and it was MUCH faster than the 512GB SATA one in the 2012 RMBP.
I have the 960 Pro in a Dell XPS 9550 and it flies as well. The 1TB Toshiba SSD that came with the Dell was no slouch either.
