Actually no, not cheaper. The first announcement said new F4EG would be available at $119, but later reports said new F4 drive will come in two capacities, 1.5TB and 2TB, the former one would be the one sold at $119 pricepoint, the 2TB will have MSRP of $150.

I don't think so. The way it was explained to me was that 'green' drives park their heads often while raid is always looking to move them around.
