Not DRAM but still very fast.

Is there anything more reliable with a longer warranty and dram that is comparable in price? I'm hoping to grab something during this weeks sales.

SP quality is pretty decent: https://www.newegg.com/silicon-power-2tb/p/0D9-0021-00136His MB is only PCIe 3.0 but I'm wanting a 4.0 drive.
I have 2 SN770 drives in my PC, (1tb and 2tb) Couldn't be happier with them. I also have an HP EX950 1tb (gen 3) drive. Zero complaints about that one either...except MAYBE that it doesn't come with any software of any kind.Lack of dram shouldn't be a deterrent as they perform just as well but use system ram instead. I have a sn770 that works just as fast as my primary sn850. Only difference is the ram use. In fact it's faster if I multithread the copies.
Usually I don't care about stuff like that. Less packaging = less waste going to a landfill. So I ordered the MSI drive for $85.49 (no tax) and it showed up today. The bare drive itself was in a tiny bubblewrap envelope just big enough for the drive. That was placed in thin brown cardboard mailer. What are the chances the drive got damaged by something heavy sitting on top of it? Would you accept the lack of protective packaging?
Others on slickdeals say they had the same experience.
It's a Christmas gift for my nephew so I don't think his mother is going to let him use it until the 25th.Usually I don't care about stuff like that. Less packaging = less waste going to a landfill.
Are you using the drive right away? Just test it well and you're good to go.
What are the SDers saying?
I use crystal disk info. You can use the settings to get a numerical temp display in the system tray, and you can set temperature alarms if you like. How do we keep an eye on temps? I use samsung magician on my PC and didn't see a MSI equivalent. If I have to I will get him a heatsink. The drive is right above his 3060ti and underneath his CPU cooler.
