2TB Micron 1100 SSD for 359.99 @ Amazon

Not a bad deal at all. The 3rd party seller has very good feedback as well, so as long as the 3 year warranty is good buying it from them, then this is about as cheap as a quality 2TB SSD will ever be.

Yeah, I've got "if it sounds too good to be true" stuck in my head right now. I see the seller replying to a question stating it's got a 3yr warranty through Micron. However that's not confirmed anywhere on Micron's site that I see. Micron's datasheet on the drive states:

"Warranty: Contact your Micron sales representative
for further information regarding the product,
including product warranties."

Given the seller on Amazon is not listed on Micron's site as a distributor, that's setting off major warning lights for me. I would highly recommending contacting Micron first to verify warranty.

Yeah i guess your correct, from that vendor its 1yr warrenty...

I should edit the first post...

I just looked at their website and they say - 1 year warranty. It's 5.00 cheaper through them.

Many companies that make OEM parts have a 1 year warranty. This looks to be no different.

I doubt you would get Micron to honor an OEM distributor with a 3 year retail warranty.
But at a little over 175/TB, I don't think I've seen cheaper.

That link is saying a 3 year warranty through them (the reseller). So, I'm going with this drive effectively has no manufacturer warranty. No question it's a good price, but with a questionable warranty...

Ha ha.

Just yesterday that tab showed a 1 year warranty. I would email them and get it in writing first to what that actual warranty is.
Tell them that the warranty tab said two different lengths of time within two days.

ROFL.... they changed it!?!??!!?

it said 1 year just yesterday... oh the price also went up as well... lol..
