I'm looking for a new external drive for my iMac. I have a Seagate one right now, but I don't know if that's a brand that I should stay with. I haven't bought an external drive in awhile. Is FW800 still a good drive for the price or should I maybe spring for a Thunderbolt drive? Are the drives in these externals 7200 rpm or 5400 rpm?
