Are you expecting 2S 256C/256T Core Sierra Forest to outperform 480T Sapphire Rapids?

Are those Arm multi core monsters outperforming anything in SPEC INT? Are there cloud instances available with them?

Sierra Forest will have similar manufacturing process as 9754 has and will run at clocks that are likely higher than this 4P abomination.

At the end of the day, if it has reasonable performance and TCO is not horrible, it will be just fine.
Things like yields, "outperformances" are for bean counters and marketing.

I think in cloud setting AMD has important advantage right now -> 8C sharing L3 makes for a nice chunk of computing. Intel's non existant L3 with disaster level latency is wrong fit for cloud. Being objectively worse than ARM 64+ core chips with 16MB of L3 is bad place to be in cloud.

These are not ARM architectures, where did the idea come from? ARM can't even compare with them in terms of performance.

Sierra Forest will differ in many ways from 9754, and it will not have similar performance because its purpose will be different, besides that, it will have only up to 64 cores, but also an architectural difference.
