I was never a big fan of either but I'd rather listen to BIG. Tupac was certainly a talented guy but I have never been a fan of his delivery.

ITT: Quebert proves once again, his tastes as so terrible they deserve to never be spoken. Neither make the top 50? Please list 10 better rappers than either.

As far as greatest lyrcist, I wouldn't go with either. Talib Kweli takes that. And best album is Only Built 4 Cuban Linx.

at the end of the day, I'm just happy to live in a world where both can exist on my playlist.

Put my tape on pause and add some more to your's

I think that's my favorite line ever. That whole song is incredible and then everything else on Paid in Full was A+ material too. I just wish they had the remix of Paid in Full from the Colors soundtrack on the original tape. Speaking of Colors, Ice-T is ridiculously underrated. Rhyme Pays, Power, Iceberg, and OG were all incredible albums.

I think this is my favorite Rakim verse "I take 7 mcs, put em in a line. then add 7 more brothas who think they can rhyme. but itll take 7 more before i go for mine. now thats 21 mcs ate up at the same time."

Rap? What's tha... oh yea! That's when some dumbass(es) talk using rudimentary rhymes, then other people listen to it and think they are listening to music and not some guy talking -- then try to convince everyone else that it's music they are listening to!

I imagine you typing this from the third to back row seat on a city bus (which you hate) on your way to HS (which you hate) while being very angry that the girl three rows up hasn't noticed you in the seven months you've been riding the bus together. You've even asked for transfers at the same time and she still hasn't noticed you.

For me it was always Pac but I enjoy listening to Big as well. I think they both did things very well in their own style. I've personally never cared that much for East Coast and gravitated more toward the West Coast Gangsta stuff. However, I'd say my favorite is probably Outkast.

I also prefer the southern style rap to East Coast as well. Now, if only Jay Electronica would finally release and album.

Is this list meant to be a joke? Redman? B-Real? Common?

I prefer Biggie over Tupac, but this rivalry is complete shit. There are so many better than both of them. ATOT is bringing back 1994 with a vengeance!

What's better

Red or white?
Fruit or veggie?
VW or Chevy?
Rock or Metal?

Hope you understand what I'm getting at.

People have different tastes and like different things....for whatever reason, just because.

Their opinion is just that, their own. What does it matter?

What you think or like is what matters most. If you like biggie or 2pac more, go ahead and listen to their music night and day.

I guarantee you IN TIME, you will want to hear something else.....does that make "something else" better? Not really. We just get sick of the same old shit over and over.....so we move on to other things.

Personally, I like biggie more. But 2pac was great too. Regardless, when I listen and just think about Rap music of the 80s and 90s......and then I hear/think about today's rap and what it has become....it makes me depressed and I want to cry.

PS. I always thought KRS-ONE was probably the most intelligent rapper around. And even he had a WHOLE lot of crap to say that didn't make any sense. I simply never listened to Rap for lyrics, if you really think about what they are saying is just completely moronic. I just liked the beats/sounds....I know I know, that makes me "the worst rap fan of all time". But I dare you to actually listen to what these people are saying and process it......they are not the brightest cookies, that's for sure.

Redman and B-Real are odd choices, but Common is a stellar lyricist. Resurrection is better than any album 2Pac or Biggie released.

I strongly prefer either of them to Biggie and Tupac combined.

They both address subjects that are little more relatable to normal people IMO. Though I do realize B-Real was on the gang banging tip, he rapped more about smoking weed than anything so he wins out in my book. This was quite relevant to my interests when I actually did listen to hiphop regularly. Not so much any more.
