2ohm stereo vs 4ohm bridged

Is there any difference in this? I am getting ready to redo my enclosures and currently I have them running each at 2ohms 'stereo', but it's fed a dual mono feed (sub out).

I tested it both ways originally and neither sounded different.

It's essentially the same thing to the amplifier. What is the speaker configuration? Single dual voice coil driver or pair of drivers?

DVC's are always going to be better in parallel. As for amps, bridging halves the Z rating, i.e. 4 ohm min on bridged amp rated for 2 ohm 2 channel operation (stereo) etc. A one ohm load on a bridged amp requires 1/2 operation per channel! (some amps can do this but SQ is greatly affected by everything in between the voice coil and the amplifier's output terminals at such a low Z)
