2nd XBOX 360 or a PS3?

So a month or so ago, I got the RRoD on my 360 and had to send it in. I had a buddy down for the WSOP and didn't want to be w/o my 360 while it was "in the shop" so we went and picked one up.

I have since received my old 360 back and was thinking of having it in the bedroom, since the new one is already downstairs in the living room.

Now I've come to a conundrum...do I stick w/ the 2nd 360 for convenience or do I return it and pick up a PS3? I know that the 'biggie' for the PS3 (FF XIII) is now coming out for the 360 as well, so I really am shuked here...thoughts? Suggestions?

TIA, will answer yours 🙂

IMO 2 of the same consoles in the house is a huge waste unless you're a bit older and have kids hogging one console, and you want some game time for youself. Get a PS3 for bluray if the games don't do anything for you. You'll eventually have a TV worth having it for if you don't already.

If you use Netflix the 360 may be more intriguing. If you want a Blu Ray player the PS3 is obviously better.

Game-wise, I don't see a reason to have 2 360s.

Personally, I don't see the point of having two of the same console. The PS3 could be cool for blu-ray but if there aren't any exclusives you want then I'd save your money.

Good points...

65" Mitsubishi
37" Westy
50" Vizio Plasma...

Guess it's a no brainer. Thanks.

I've got two 360s. One in the upstairs loft and one in the downstairs living room. Since both are used as media center extenders, they get heavy use. With a wife and two kids it is convenient to not to have to fight over the one TV that has the 360 attached to it. If it was just me by myself, I would probably have a 360 and a PS3.

With there being 400 different PS3's and different bundles, what would you guys suggest then?

If you're interested in MGS4 or PS2 games and want a Dual Shock, get the current 80GB for $100 more.

Otherwise, wait a couple of months for the new 80GB (no bundle). Alternatively, you could take your chances and the 40GB or current 80GB bundle might be on clearance if you're lucky enough to find them.

or it could be that I intended on keeping this, but have decided to go the PS3 route.

Burn me at the stake.

The bolded sounds like the way to go. TYVM.

2 consoles = no regret at missing an exclusive (including download games like PixelJunk Monsters)

I'll be getting a Jasper 360 once the Fall update is out, and maybe a wii someday once it has more "hardcore" games.

That's why I have two 360s and why I also have a PS3. 😀

Lol....If you can name me 400 different PS3 and different bundles, I'll give you my PS3. But staying with the topic, I would get a PS3. Or if you want to save money, just return the other xbox360 and use the one you got back.
