I've heard of first world problems. I've heard of third world problems.

Where is the second world and what kind of problems do they have?
 
They have the issue of non-existance. The Soviet block was the second world. It is gone, except maybe in Putin's noggin.
 
The "first world" is the USA and her allies. NATO basically. The "second world" is the other side of the cold war. The former Soviet Union, the eastern bloc (Warsaw pact basically). The "third world" is everyone else.

So maybe second world problems used to be standing in bread lines, finding a good american husband, the availability of vodka, etc.

First World: the United States and its allies.
Second World: the Soviet Union, China, and their allies.
Third World: neutral and non-aligned countries.
 
Louisiana is a second world country.

Their main problem is a 55mph speed limit on the way to the liquor store, and their crappy roads.
