2nd Vid Card/TV tuner

I have an interesting question. I want to add a second video card to my PC (running win2k with a 32m TNT2 Ultra) so that I can use two monitors for the one computer (very useful for developing and designing in multimedia). However, if possible, I'd also really like that second video card to contain a TV tuner with the ability to capture signals (whether input from cable or a VCR). The main reason I'd like capturing ability would be to take video and audio from old VHS tapes (so I know the quality won't be top-notch) so that I can perhaps play around with the video and burn the audio to audio CD. An added bonus would be the ability to record on air programs that I might miss while I'm at work (30 minute shows) or out. Are there any cards currently on the market that would serve this purpose well? I'm especially looking for something that will work in windows 2000 as that's my OS of choice and don't want to "downgrade" to 9x or ME. Thanks for your suggestions and input!

your best bet, while there may be many other ways of course, would be to get the PCI version of either the ATI AIW 128 or the AIW Radeon....just not sure on the W2k support, i would think being a secondary card it wouldn't matter that much since you'll be usin the tnt card for gamin..for what ya wanna do, this card brings it all to the table for ya.

Thanks for the tip! These look exactly like what I'm looking for. I just sent off an email to their sales department to ask whether their card would work when connecting a second display. If they say yes, then I think I have my card. 🙂 If anyone has any experience connecting a second monitor to an ATI All-in-Wonder 128 or Radeon under Windows 2000, I'd love to hear about it! 🙂
