So there is a chick in my class who I want to ask to drinks this weekend, but she always has ppl around her. How do I find a way to either ask her when others are around or catch her alone without looking like I am stalking her? PS we are both 22+

UPDATE: we are both a little sick this week, and a bunch of law school students are going out tonight, so I think I am just going to call her and chat it up a bit and ask her if she is going out tonite. Since we are both sick, I'll just play it cool and see where it goes from here..

2nd** UPDATE: She is miserable sick but still going to the bar for an hour or two.. ugh..

oh yeah....she sounds like a smart one..

*** MOVIE SPOILER FOLLOWS ***

Yeah, we should have come up with the "Nice shoes" angle a long time ago. Seriously, random compliments are a great in. If they're not too random. And if you want it to be an in, have it planned out, but don't lie. Telling her you love her new purse if it's foogly is the wrong way to start. But something like "Man, my sister loves pink stuff, where did you get that?" can work well. If she's smart, she'll notice the angle, but might give you a chance anyway, because you cared enough to come up with a respectful pickup line. You need the right amount of interest. If you're no good at sounding eager but not creepy, there's nothing wrong with practicing in front of a mirror!

*** MOVIE SPOILER IS GO ***

If you want to see the WRONG way to do this, watch the first part of Unbreakable. Very uncomfortable. An intelligent woman just trying to read a magazine and have an ordinary conversation, and here's this creep leading her on while he only wants to use her. Imagine how she felt at that moment. That's what not to do.

*** MOVIE SPOILER DONE GONE ***

I didnt think the pickup in Unbreakable was that bad. i mean enuf for her to leave and take another seat.

She's probably perfectly healthy, and just doesn't want to go to the bar with the OP.

I'm gonna guess "grow a pair" is going to be how you ask her. She probably doesn't want to date a spineless nitwit. Who cares if there's "ppl" around her or not? Just walk up to her, wait for a break in the conversation, and freaking ASK.

she probably figured he would say "Don't worry about it, if you are sick"

Walk by and casually slip her a piece of paper:

Do you want to go for coffee sometime?
(Check one)
