what's the best cooler/fan, can't use a g-orb. for this combo? have a coppershim but would rather not use it . and my first experience with arctic silver was a pain in the a--! going to have this system running in 85 deg.+ ambient temp. noise is not a prob. lmk, jer
 
The alpha pal 8045 will a slight modification to a corner of the base. You need to grind approximately 1/4" off of the the corner of the base. It took me a few seconds using a dremmel and it did not cause any problems with heat distribution/removal.
 
Thermalright AX7 is getting good press and in most reviews it's only second to the Alpha 8045 and Swiftech 462 by only 1-2 degrees. $28+fan.

You really should use Artic Silver 3 (or other thermal compound) with these.
