Just changed boards from an Asus Sabertooth 990 FX to the newer revision 2.0.
On doing this my Windows 7 setup consisting of two SSD's runs perfectly ( after updating a few things) - pretty much the same setup I had with the older board.
I also run a two SSD drive Windows 8 setup occasionally on the same boards - ran fine on the older board, but with the newer revision, whenever I add in the second SSD, things slow down to an absolute crawl, mostly on the second drive. Boots and shutdowns are painfully slow, downloads to the D drive or transfers between drives are also slow to the point of thinking the machine has crashed. If i pull out the second drive everything is fine again.
I completely rebuilt W8 in case it was a driver conflict from the old build - didn't help.
Wound up being a drive enclosure that went south
