This time from a little brown bastard that looked similar to a brown recluse but had thicker and fuzzier legs.
At first I thought the little bump was a pimple or something similar so I didn't pay any attention to it. After 2 days the wound had grown to about the size of a small marble, red 'lines' appeared running up towards my elbow and a hole opened-up in my arm. Not cool.
Made an appointment with the doctor and saw him the next day. He confirmed it was indeed a spider bite and prescribed anti-biotics. I had already applied BiteRX when I realized it was a spider bite which the doc commended me for. He also commented that because of the increased swelling rate I'm probably allergic to spiders. He's going to run some tests to confirm.
Tonight I'm staying at a friends house while bug bombs are going off in my apartment. Nuking the little bastages to hell. I'd be really surprised if any bug in and within close proximity of my apartment survived the onslaught. I'm out for freaking blood; theirs.
I'll warn you all right now, the pics aren't for the squeamish. Not responsible for lost dinner.
