Hey peoples,

I have a buddy that had an extra 19" CRT that he wants to add to his laptop. He has plugged it in, but I believe all he does is see the same thing on both screens (the laptop screen and the 19" CRT). I know there are like specific key commands (like SHIFT F10) or something that will do a different type input?

He also wants to change the resolution on the monitor, and he doesnt know how to do that. Now, off the top of my head I would believe that it is in the display properties, but will it show up properly?

I have absolutely no idea what kind of laptop he has, but thought that I would toss this up as I am suppose to have a meeting with him tomorrow and it is bound to come up.
 
It really depends on the model of laptop as to how he turns off the display, w/o that all I could tell you is there is most likely a specific key for that function on the keyboard. On several of mine it has been a key that looks like a monitor. Adjust the resoultion and refresh rate to the 19" CRT's specs in the display properties/settings tab.
