2nd Hard Drive Installation Problems

I've having problems with the installation of a second harddrive, and have everything conceiveable to resolve this issue to no avail.

My Jumper Settings for my master and slave are correct, however when booting up with the second drive, it is not recognized. When i try a single drive setup, both drives end up being recognized. My IDE cable and power cables are not the problems as i've switched both of those around.

Any suggestions as to what else to try?

Remember WD has different settings for
Master (alone)
Master (with slave)

Have you tried setting both to "cable select"?

Could you try to use different IDE cables for the drives? (like primary/OS disk alone on the forst channel, and CD/DVD and the second drive on the second channel).
Do you have Windows NT or better? If so, the hard drive might be visible even if it is not visible in BIOS/DOS
Can you autodetect it in BIOS?
You might have the cable put backwards (the cable has one of the connectors to be set into the mainboard). I saw once a IDE cable inserted into mainboard with the center connector. It worked :|
