2nd hard drive boots up every other time

So my d: hard drive boots up every other time. I have no idea how to fix it.

what do you mean your D: boots, your boot rive should be C:

My c drive works fine boots up and loads xp normally. My d drive is a second hard drive and it only works after i restart the computer. The d: drive doesnt show up at all unless i restart the computer.
