Anybody have used one of the newer "Progressive" dvd players on a regular definition(non-HDTV) projection TV? I am looking into one of these players but it sound like you have to hook them up to a High Def. capable set to get the advantage of the progressive output.
 
Well, whether the TV is HD-capable or not, it would have to have a progressive scan input in order to be able to use that feature of the player. I think (but not 100% sure) that the only sets that have that type of input are HD. I know for sure that you can't connect the prog. output to component video, S-video, or composite inputs.
