Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me out here.

I ordered a new mobo, 7900gs gfx card, and A64 3800x2 from Newegg.

Something is wrong with my current computer which is over 2 years old and time to upgrade a little. BIOS and SpeedFan (temp monitor) both report my core anywhere between 65c and 80c idle and up to almost 90c under mild gaming.....computer either shuts off or quits out of my games and DVD burning automatically after a little while and I think it's due to the temp of the CPU.

Anyways, on to my question....
I ordered this mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813127010

I was planning on using my crap RAM which is PC3200 and PC2700 mismatched DDR RAM.
The motherboard I ordered states that it takes DDR2 RAM. Am I going to have a problem? I'm not out to have cutting edge speed, but will my current RAM even work? If it does is it going to significantly slow my system down?

Thanks for reading and any answers.

Yes you're going to have a problem. The PC3200 and 2700 ram are DDR1 type of memories. You need to purchase DDR2 memory to have it be compatible with your new motherboard.
