2nd cd/dvd burner or just a reader?

Just built a new system. I installed a Sony cd/dvd burner. Already thinking about adding a second something or other. What do you folks do?

I think Lite-on has a CD/DVD-Rom player for about $20. Or do is there a reason to add a second burner?

unless your old cd burner is slow, then you can buy a faster one and use your old as a reader?
