Hello,
I just put togeather a new computer with an Asus A7M266 motherboard, 1.4ghz tbird, 512mb ddr ram, geforce 2 gts/pro, 1 40gb Fujitsu harddrive, and 1 40gb western digital harddrive. Everything is running fine, except for my western digital harddrive (it isn't visible in explorer or msdos). Both harddrives have been formatted, but not partitioned (so both are 40gb). The Fujitsu harddrive is the primary one, and the one showing. It has Windows 2000 Professional installed on it.
I see the harddrive in the device manager and the bios, but no where else so i can access it.
Is the problem that it isn't formatted as I thought? Would that cause it to be visible in the manager and bios but not anywhere else? Or is the problem somewhere else?

Thanks

Well, considering you have 2 drives, and if the 1 40 gig hard drive is recognized, then the other would most definitely be recognized.

Make sure your jumper settings are set correctly. The western Digital drive will be the slave correct? (btw, why is it that you have it set up that way, as I'm just curious)

🙂

why i made the Fujitsu the primary or why i didnt partition them?
Fujitsu sounds cool and the harddrive looks cool so i made that the primary, heh 😉
i didnt partition them YET ........I will

Try partitioning though.

If that doesn't get you anywhere, then I'll scratch my head and suggest you down a few beers.
