2K Sports MLB2k8

I can't get to gaming sites, but as of this morning, there was no release of the patch for the 360, does anyone know of any updates on this?
Thanks.

Whats the patch for? I guess as soon as it becomes available it'll automatically download it for you.

Was there an official date announced for it?

The patch is out now, silly! Unfortunately, it's going to cost you an additional $60--it's called MLB2k8: The Show. 😛

Per the 2ksports forums April 1st (yea, I know) was the official release date, it seems as though the hold up was on microsofts side. The patch is for the horrible framerate, hopefully fix the online play lag, and there are some issues with bringing up minors to the Padres (never play as them so...), there are also numerous other gameplay issues. It seemed like 2K wanted to at least acknowledge them, and the 'official' word was yesterday. But still no patch as of this morning on the east coast. You basically have to turn off every special feature to eliminate the lag (replays, highlights, etc).
I can see this in a PC game, everyone's system is pretty unique, but I'd think every (non-modded) 360 is exactly the same. Bah.

This game needs more than a patch. I like it enough but man its a mess! Hopefully the patch will fix the constant stuttering. Where is the damn opening day rosters? yeesh

After getting burned on 2K7 -- being unable to enter the playoffs in career mode in the 2nd full season (playing more than 40 of the games myself each season) -- I'll never buy anything from them again.
