I have selected backup previous service pack data on the 2000 sp3 install.
the installation of sp3 stalls indefinitely with about 2/3 progress when the job is "finalizing" something or other. this has happened twice now.
i do have a version of 2000 sp2 on there already, and it was an upgrade from 98 not a clean copy.
regardless, i left it on all night and it still showed no progress. it was not 'not responding', just paused.
there is no mention of this in the knowledge base.
anyone else have this problem or know a link/fix?
