2k or 4k refresh rate on EDO RAM?

Hi,

I'm looking to buy some 72 pin EDO RAM and one site that I'm looking at says something about the 4k refresh rate RAM that they are selling doesn't work well with earlier Pentium's. They say that a common problem is that the system doesn't read half of the RAM.

The site says that a good guide is P166 or later. I'm a little worried because I'd be buying this RAM for a P133 and I want it to work.

I tried Crucial's site, but they give me limited information on refresh rate. All they say is that it is the speed of the RAM cycle. They don't tell me which is faster. If you can mix refresh rates. If certain refresh rate RAM is good for only certain systems, etc..

BTW.. Which is faster? 2k or 4k refresh rate. I'm under the impression that 2k refresh is faster than 4k, but after reading that the 4k is supposedly good for later Pentium's, I'm thinking that the 4k is faster or newer RAM.

TIA,

Sal

I have a small box full of 72 pin simms and a bunch of 30 pin simms, and none say anything about refresh.... Personally, I didn't know there were different ones.
