if i cant install directX on my 2k server box, will i have gaming issues?? what do i need to do from here?
 
First the obvious question...why are you running games on a server box? Or are you simply running Win2k Server so that you can say "hey I'm running Win2k server. Who wants to touch me?"

That being said...Directx should install on win2k server. If for wahtever reason it doesn't, you aren't going to be able to play many games. Not that you should anyways, if its really a server.
