I bought this RCA Cambio 10.1" Windows 10 Tablet with Detachable Keyboard W101 V2 at Amazon with my Chase Freedom card which is featuring 10% cash back on Amazon purchases until Dec. 31. Net after ~$4.50 shipping for me was $118.33. It's in shipment.

I paid almost this much for the Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit upgrade alone on my Thinkpad. This comes with activated full Windows 10 32bit with an x64 CPU.

The keyboard is well liked, it detaches easily, this can be used as a tablet, laptop, an HTPC with it's HDMI output, has two USB connections, one standard the other a micro, front & back cameras (1MP & 2MP), Atom quadcore 1.33-1.8GHz CPU, 32GB storage, 2GB RAM, Bluetooth, 1 year P/L warranty.

Comes with Office Mobile 365 apps (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), I haven't used them personally.

Good price for this tablet. Walmart still has it for $129.99 + tax, free shipping or pickup, if you have a Discovercard link through Discover to get 5% cashback. http://www.walmart.com/ip/RCA-Cambio-10.1-2-in-1-Tablet-32GB-Intel-Quad-Core-Windows-10/45804382?u1=ltm&oid=223073.1&wmlspartner=2jaEPwIxx0s&sourceid=11660336292529301550&affillinktype=10&veh=aff

According to customer reviews on Amazon comes with a 30 day trial version of Office.

I purchased a HP Omni 10-5600US 10.1-Inch 32GB tablet, 2GB ram, almost 2 years ago on sale for $250. from Amazon. Used Discover cashback to bring it down to $150. Slightly better specs than the RCA, Intel Atom Z3770 Processor, 1920 x 1200 resolution, Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013, but no keyboard. Upgraded it to Windows 10 v.1511.

I use my tablet mainly for email, web browsing, downloading, Skype, and streaming TV and Netflix. I am surprised at how well this low ram tablet runs. I think you will be too with the RCA.

You will need a 32GB SD card. I have a 64GB card in my HP. Windows 10 takes up a good bit of the 32GB drive. Also get an OTG cable like this: http://www.amazon.com/iRulu-Female-Adapter-Converter-Google/dp/B009CQC7YU/ref=sr_1_16?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1449238225&sr=1-16&keywords=OTG+Cable

And if you upgrade to Windows 10 v.1511 do a disk cleanup to free up space on the 32GB drive.

Thanks... I just ordered that cable.

What's Windows 10 v. 1511? A small footprint version of actual Windows 10, free download from MS (my guess)?

I'm hoping that a 64GB or even a 128GB SD card will work in this thing. I have a 64GB to try it with. Maybe only 32GB will work, but I have one of those too.

Edit: Just did a search. I guess v.1511 is just the latest Win10 version, adding some features?

How do I do a "disk cleanup?" Presumably after the upgrade to v1511...

Thanks for the cool tips. I think that the specs from RCA say 32GB capacity microSD support but a couple of online sources have suggested higher capacity will work, but I don't have confirmation that they actually tried it. I have a 64GB card I'll insert and see if it's read/write compatible, but if not, I do have a 32GB card. I think that should be enough.

I am thinking that my biggest bottleneck is apt to be my browsing with only 2GB of RAM. I currently am using Pale Moon browser. Is there a better browser (or flavor of a browser) that will have a smaller footprint and allow me to run longer/better between what I figure are probably inevitable browser crashes or slowdowns when I have too many tabs open?

MadScientist, I just noticed that we both registered at Anandtech Forums in July 2001! Each post here used to display the actual day of registration, and I recall that mine was 07/11/2001. I just confirmed that in my records.

I just installed cccleaner on this laptop, which I think is too far gone to save in terms of its Windows 7 install. My backup is history because the external HD died. :( I figure I need to do an install from scratch. I can't run Windows Update on this machine, it inevitably takes hours before it successfully reverts. Anyway, I just ran CCleaner for the first time in my life! Which is amazing because I've seen a lot of people talk about it. It found over 4GB of stuff to delete and I did that on this machine.

Which browser is the best is a very debatable topic on the forum. Browsers are updated so frequently that unless you find a very recent comparison of them it's hard to say which one is the best, and everyone has their favorite. Mine is Chrome.
I have been using it with Adblock Plus on my tablet with no resource problems. I usually do not have more than 4 or 5 tabs open at one time. Chrome was a resource hog but the latest versions, current is v.47, are not as bad.

Opera, now using a supposed streamlined Chrome engine, is very good. Try it.

Go to the Opera button upper left. Settings. "Check" Open a specific page or set of pages. That enables the Mucho uber speed dial. You will see what I mean. Add the tiles you most use on a daily basis. Its awesome.

Thank you, I'll give that a try. I'll install it as soon as I get the machine, which should be tomorrow! ():)

~$8 price drop:

You can get it now for $116.96 + $6.02 shipping. That would be $110.68 after the 10% cash back if bought with Chase Freedom credit card, rewards activated, if purchased by 12/31/15 at Amazon.

RCA 10" Windows 10 Tablet with Detachable Keyboard W101 V2

FYI: Seems that day to day you will see different deals for this at Amazon.
