2gig upgrading to 4gig of system memory, good upgrade?

Hi. I am currently using a older motherboard (eVGA 133-K8-NF41-AX) with an AMD Opteron-175. I have 2gig of system memory (OCZ EL Platinum PC3200 2GB). Now, I am thinking of upgrading it to 4gig with the same make and model of memory sticks. Is it worth to go 4gig? I am still using Windows XP as my OS.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I upgraded to 4GB at christmas. Here's my opinion of the upgrade:

For gaming, it isn't worth it.
