About this kingston one, i found two on amazon.
the one selling on buy.com is this one
$28
http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Traveler...-1513844-9029503?ie=UTF8&s=electronics

there also one looks very similar to the $28 one.
$36
http://www.amazon.com/2GB-Data-Traveler...-1513844-9029503?ie=UTF8&s=electronics

anyone know what's the difference between these two?

The Buy.com deal for the $11.95 is definitely a hot deal. In fact, I'm contemplating picking that up. I have the 1 GB version, and although its VERY VERY SLOW, its a solid USB drive from a good brand.

As far as those two, on Amazon, I don't really see a difference. I know kingston makes DataTraveler 1 and DataTraveler 2, with DT2 having significantly better performance. Maybe the more expensive one is a DT2 and they just reused the picture? Thats my guess.

well... I bought the Kingston, Better brand is what made me choose it

I don't think I'd buy this one. It is a good deal for a 2GB stick, but I've got the 256mb version at work that I got for free from a vendor with their logo on it. It acts real flaky and doesn't work on some computers. Others it works fine. And then others, it will act like you are plugging and unplugging it every couple of seconds. Maybe it's just the one I got, but I don't think I'd throw $50 bucks at another one from the same brand.

Got mine yesterday. From initial tests, it gets a big thumbs up from me.

I upgraded from a 128 MB Sandisk USB 2.0 drive. Much improvement. This thing is just under half the height, so it can fit all computers (a big problem with my old drive). It is 35% faster at writing and 400% faster a reading. I copied a 127 MB file to both and then read it. For this 2GB drive, the read time was 8 sec vs 32 sec for my old Sandisk. Plus I like the look of the red led light. I couldn't be happier (assuming the rebates come through).

The only possible drawback is that the packaging is a bit flimsy due to its thin size with the cheap plastic. But for $5, what can you expect?

Well my key lasted about 2 days. It no longer registers on 2 different computers when I insert it.

Well I just contacted ACP and they are supposedly shipping another 2GB key right out to me with a postpaid return mailer.

Is right now too late to buy? It says 12/11 last day but they wont process my order til tomorrow so will the date on the invoice show as 12/12?
