2GB DDR400 or 2GB DDR500?

Still looking to purchase a 2GB kit for a system of mine. I see a lot of people saying to buy the DDR500 kits over the DDR400 kits. I *may* try some overclocking, but nothing "extreme" and want to know if the DDR500 has any advantages in a non or mildly overclocked system as oppossed to DDR400.

I also see quite a few people pushing the Giel (sp?) 2GB kits, but I also read of a lot of problems/disappointment in forums with Giel. I like Mushkin/Corsair/OCZ......which in your opinion would be the best?

DDR 500 is better, but it's rarely worth the money as the performance gains are far smaller than the price increase (ie 50% price increase gives 5% performance)
