A while ago, Nvidia video cards was not as sharp as the ATI Radeon cards. How are the 4200, 4800 vs. the ATI Radeon now? Please your real experience only please and I am only concern with 2D quality. I know Nvidia maybe a little faster then Radeon but I am just wanting to know about the 2D.

Nvidias have gotten better, but they still can't beat a good ol' built-by-ATI Radeon in the 2D quality department. Matrox hasn't gotten any worse (they're still better than ATI, but I doubt you could tell a difference on any but the highest quality monitors).

Oh, and Nvidia being faster than ATI? Maybe the vaporwa...er...GFFX, but the last time I checked the Radeon 9700 Pro still obliterates all of Nvidia's other offerings (and it isn't doing too badly compared to the GFFX, either).

My friend's Ti4200 isn't very good. I don't know the brand though because it came with his Dell.

My Radeon 9100 (rehashed 8500) is excellent however, on par with my Matrox G450.
