One of my eVGA GTX 460 1GB can no longer display 2D. I can't get it to boot up with a picture just a black screen.

The funny thing is for 3D it seems to be working fine Windows recognizes both cards and I was able to set SLI in the Control Panel.

Anyone else have this problem? If not should I be worried.

Thanks.

It recognizes it for SLI but does it actually work in SLI? In the past I had a secondary card in SLI die on me. I could set it to SLI but once I ran a game it would realize it was dead and automatically turn SLI off.

I'm guessing here.
Did you take your primary display cable and hook it to the lower card, then disable SLI and try to re-boot and not get a picture ?
If so, it could be a driver quirk.
And you should physically switch the cards in position, if you have not already done that.
Technically you are supposed to plug in to the top card in a sli configuration, but I have tested older drivers and was able to plug in to the lower card in testing.
But that might have changed ?

Thanks for your replies. I ran the latest version on FurMark in full screen mode and it show that it's using both cards. Wierd, huh?

I think hes right,, with the SLI and cable switching and what not.

I dont think the 2D died on your card man,,, Im willing to bet on that. There is no way 2D died, and 3D works,,, if 2D dies I think the video card dies with it you get no post and no windows... soo,,,, I dont know,, very weird..

Hope their running well.... if so,, stick with not seeing your BIOS lol
