I must admit, having had a leadtek geforce 3 TDH in my machine, the 2d quality was actually ok, and I could run at 1600x1200x32 @ 85hz no problems. However, now got a creative geforce 1 as at 1600x1200 it's a bit horrible.

So how's the 2d quality of the leadtek geforce 4? Will it be ok for me? Thanks :)

By default, all Geforce 4 Ti's should have resonably good 2D image quality already. I owned one previously and 2D was pretty sharp, and 1280X960@85Hz was just as good as a Radeon and comparable with a Matrox. However, since I have not done a 1600X1200 test, I'm not sure if the card can hold off at higher resolutions.

If it's as good as my Leadtek Ti500 was then it'll be great. I didn't have any problems at all at 1600 x 1200 x 85 Hz.

yeah...I mean, surely there's no way that the gf4 2d iq would be less than that of the gf3, so I should be ok. I'm going to order a ti4400 leadtek :)

As a long time detractor of nvidia for 2d image quality I must say that the Leadtek GF 4 Ti 4200 board is pretty good. It is not as good as my previous board (Radeon 8500) but it is still acceptable.

Not great but certainly the best I've seen from a nVidia based board. (My WAY old TNT 2 from Guillemot was actually pretty okay, too.)
