2Cooltek has some new socket HSF tests up...

Not so much performance comparison, but an accurate "ranking" of heatsinks... Can't wait to see the other heatsinks.

Like the orbs perhaps?? 😛

It seemed like to me most people bought orbs because it was believed they were high performance/low cost heatsinks that looked really neat. I think a lot of people would have made some different choices if they knew that they were really just low cost neat looking heatsinks.

It'd be nice if someone did a real copy of the Original Panaflo Orbs.. Those guys were monsters, and i'd use it if I could find a way to mount it.

I noticed they only used a YS Tech 26CFM model on the Hedgehog. I bet if it was tested with the Delta, it would outperform the Alpha...

It might.. but he also said his Hedgehog doesn't really have a mirrored/lapped base. That would contribute to slight underperformance, plus the pep66 is one awesome heatsink.

I think a higher CFM fan has more of an effect on a all copper heatsink than it does with an aluminum heatsink. We all know copper absorbs heat much better than aluminum, but it tends to hold it in more and not "shed" it as well. For this reason, I think more air flowing over the fins will increase it's effectiveness. Just a thought..🙂
