$295 for a 4870!

Still has a lot of room to fall. NV's GT260 is in que to undergo major price cut soon. Expect the GT260 to be $250 soon.

I'm waiting to see Nv release the GT200 cards on 55nm. The price war will pick up another notch when NV puts the GT200 cards on 55nm.

NV headquarter is scambling to fend off AMD in an all out price war.

Off topic, but LOL while the consumers are loving this price ware, but AMD and NV investors are paying by watching their stocks fall. lol. NV stock tanked 30% last week when they announced that competions and economy and a recall on the notebook GPU are hurting their profits. Wow that was a drop! Could be a good time to buy NV stock though. And AMD stock is at a 5 year low. Doesn't look like even the 48xx series are making AMD stock move up. I have a feeling one of these companies will be bought out soon, because they cannot killing each other like this while they both try to take on Intel. You better bet Intel is sporting a big smirk on its face watching this ATI/NV pricewar.

how much is 295 canadian dollars in real money? (I am just joking people).

Lovely deal, both companies are slashing prices, we win!

EDIT:
295 Canadian dollars = 289.86936 U.S. dollars

Seriously? I thought Canadian dollars had finally surpassed US dollars in value?

Competition = great prices for consumers. So, please don't bash either team green or team red, because without each other you'd be paying more for less.

Darn, sold out.

yeah, was gonna say the same thing, having a spare PCI card is always handy...although I wouldn't be surprised if we'll finally see some newer motherboards without any PCI slots in the near future...

still have a PCI 6200 though, so I wouldn't really need this
