I can't boot from the 29160 - CD or HD.
I originally had a 2940U2W and I'm trying to replace it with the 29160. All the cabling is unchanged from the original setup. I can't get the 29160 to boot from the HD or CDROMs.
I believe I read about incompatability of the 29160 with VIA chipsets. Some people seem to have no problems with it. Some people weren't able to boot from CDROM. Has anyone had difficulty booting from HD?
Is this a BIOS issue? Is there a newer VP6 BIOS update than the one listed on their site? Version 'WK' is newer than 'UR' right? I've disabled all the onboard ide/raid controllers. Still no go.
edit: solved, scsi card bios update did the trick
