I care less and less about OC properties but more about the fact that it keeps noise low at peak. After going from reference 7970 to Asus DC2 780 it was like coming to heaven. I'm never going back to anything that makes more noise at load than this one. Judging from what I've seen so far of 290*, noise at peak can't compete. Its a shame because there's lots of people who were waiting for AMDs move, and who wanted the 4Gb as well, but with these designs taking so long and noise still being an issue... I suspect these people are now going NV because of the 780 price drop.
People will buy nvidia for few reasons now if you ask me.
-Loyal fans.
-They play games that favored nvidia hw.
-They cant find the amd card they want in stock or for the right price.
