I lost my Mom to it (she died on her 60th Birthday 2 years ago) and Donna lost her younger sister (40) both battled it for 5 years.

plus...the older the woman on the pill, the increased chance of breat cancer. That is so sad. But she has the right attitude to fight it and become a survivor.

That's quite the freaking stretch saying that she got it because she is on the pill and smokes

If you're getting breast cancer at her age either you're in a seriously bad environment or have some particularly unlucky genetics.

Actually, the voice is most likely due to the Crohn's disease she has.

That's just insane. How long ago? Did she fight aggressively? Hopefully she will have the rest of her life ahead of her.

Hope it hasn't spread yet... If it hasn't they may be able to remove the tumor 'easily'.
If it has she is facing a long struggle involving chemo-therapy, not the most fun thing you can imagine

It runs in my family, and I'm dreading the day where I get a call that my mom or one of my sisters has a 'bad' form of it.

Someone I knew died from brain cancer in hear early twenties. I think she died somewhere last week. She fought it for a long time before giving up.
