I don't bother with any 3rd party utilities. I just take two minutes to edit the .inf file prior to installation. All my refreshrates for 1152x864 and below are at 100hz no matter whether I'm in Desktop, OpenGL, or Direct3D. It's really simply. What video card do you have?

It's not that easy with the newer Detonators when they look like this:

HKR,, NV20_Modes_Delta, %REG_SZ%, "S 1600,900,-16,120;1600,900,32,100-;1600,1024,-16,120;1600,1024,32,100-;1600,1200,-16,120;1600,1200,32,100-;1920,1080,-16,120;1920,1080,32,85-;1920,1200,-16,100-;1920,1200,32,72-;1920,1440,-16,85-;1920,1440,32,70-;2048,1536,-16,70-;2048,1536,32,-"

Sure it is. This is the setting I'm using for my GF4:

HKR,, NV25_Modes_Delta, %REG_SZ%, "S 640,480,-32,-85-;640,480,-16,-85-;800,600,-32,-85-;800,600,-16,-85-;1024,768,-32,-85-;1024,768,-16,-85-;1152,864,-32,-85-;1152,864,-16,-85-;1600,900,-16,120;1600,900,32,100-;1600,1024,-16,120;1600,1024,32,100-;1600,1200,-16,120;1600,1200,32,100-;1920,1080,-16,120;1920,1080,32,85-;1920,1200,-16,100-;1920,1200,32,72-;1920,1440,-16,85-;1920,1440,32,70-;2048,1536,-16,70-;2048,1536,32,-"

Notice the line I've bolded. I simply added this additional info to set everything from 1152x864 (both 32bit and 16bit) to 100hz. After I run the installer, refreshrate problem fixed. I actually like this system better than the old one since all the settings are in the same place and I don't have to scan up and down for it under Notepad.

If people around here bothered doing a search they'd know that this question is asked almost daily and that my answer everytime is to download and install RivaTuner and use its 60 Hz refresh fix.

Good advice Brian48, that's the method I've been using for quite awhile and works great. Saves having to mess with a 3rd-party utility.

With NVRefreshTool program I can do it and reboot back to desktop in less then a minute so don`t see the big deal ;).
