$29.99 CDRW from Friday Bestbuy Deal

I got the $29.99 Friday bestbuy CDRW, and I'm wondering if anybody got the same CDRW and can giv eme some information. THe burner ended up being a BTC BCE1610IM. Is that any good? I don't know much about CDRWs, so can someone tell me if this is a 'rebadged' burner, and I can flash it to reflect some other notable brand? I tried installing EasyCD 5.0, and the program wouldn't detect my burner. What programs are compatible with it?
