XIGMATEK ACXTNRP-PC402 400W ATX12V Ver.2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Review at Toms Hardware really liked this PSU. It would even handle the same loads as 600 watt power supplys would. So this appears to be a rebadge of their 602 model. Either way its VERY Efficient @ its 400w rating.

I bought one of these earlier in the week for 35...still was a good deal

If you bought it from Newegg, do an online chat or e-mail them (even call) and they will generally give you a refund credit. Good luck.

If it is indeed a HEC --generally bad. HEC is not a top tier PSU supplier, probably not the worst but not great either.

HEC is a fine manuf. I used many of their power supplys in about a 1,000 computers when I worked at a local computer distrib. Very Rare to have a bad ps from them. I used the oem models and not the higher-end 80 plus stuff so I don't know alot about those models.

They do appear to have alot of aftermarket 80 plus versions (newegg has alot of them), which this power supply is based on. Also this 400w is supposed to be very quiet for those who want quiet. Nearly every newegg review liked this Xigmatek ps. For $30 shipped i'm not sure you can go all that wrong?
