It's actually $9+shipping. Shipping isn't exactly cheap with compgeeks most of the time.

I've got this. Not the highest quality (I wouldn't travel with it alot), but good to store your cdrs/dvdrs that come off of spindles (which is what I use it for).

CompGeeks shipping actually has been resonable for me. I bought this case and an external modem and UPS ground shipping for me was 6.00. In fact I looked at my five orders I've make at Compgeeks and everytime it's been 6.00. Weight has been variable but always 2-4 lbs and within CA so maybe it's slightly higher when shipped out of state. I've found it's cheaper than Newegg's system of stacking their shipping and handling charges until it's ridiculous. I like Newegg but I try to only buy when they have free shipping.

In case anyone is interested and they are close to a Microcenter, they have Case Logic CD/DVD cases that hold 208 CDs/DVDs for 15.99. They have had two styles, one leather-like and the other a nylon one that's better built than the CompGeeks one posted here. I know, I have both Case Logics and the one from CompGeeks.

I just found it online also, but its just the nylon one. I don't know the shipping cost , but its a well built case. 208 disk Case Logic

I have the leather like 208 disc case from Case Logic and it is well constructed. I ordered 3 of the 288 cases from ComputerGeeks and ended up giving them away - cheap flimsy crap! But hey, the price is right!

Cheap and flimsy yeah, but they'll keep your CD/DVDs in better holding than a spindle. I use them for home use. And yes, CompGeeks shipping is always a killer atleast for me in PA

I have this and it is sturdy enough for moderate use. I suggest buying other items which will help cover the shipping:

LED Flashlight

Just got this flashlight and I will order six more. CG also has the Chaintech sound card, various cables, Cat 5e sets, cheapo cases and other items that can offset shippping, since they do not charge shipping by the piece.

Oh yeah remember this much, you're going to feel the pain when you have to rip out 288 perforated pieces of plastic. Just think, I had to do this for 6 of them last time I bought them.

If you have no clue what I'm taking about, in a normal CD case there is an empty slot where you shove the CD in. In these cheapos, that piece of plastic is still there from manufacturing. Enjoy! :p

I ordered one of these last week but am still waiting for it to show up. Also ordered a couple other things (including that cool USB cable/connector kit which is just what I need).

I'm curious about that flashlight. I read what they say and I find it very hard to believe. It doesn't use batteries? It appears to get energy by your squeezing it. Is that right? Just how useful is it? Can you explain? Thanks.
