Amazon.com is running some crazy battery deals today but this seems to be the best deal out there.

They have the Lenmar 2000 mAh NiMH AA Batteries in a 24 Pack for $19.99 and it's eligible for free super saver shipping if you get your order over $25.
Which you do by adding the "Tech B TBBC8201 AA Rechargable 4-Pack NiMH Batteries with Wall Charger Plus 4 Free Alkaline Batteries" which Amazon has for $6.99 after a $4 Mail-In-Rebate.
Total comes out to $30.98 before rebate and $26.98 after rebate, which is a flaming hot deal on rechargable NiMHs, especially higher mAh ones.

I dunno how good the charger is, but with 28 NiMHs even if it's dog slow you should always have plenty of fully charged ones available. Now to find more uses for AAs....hmmm

Thanks for the post. Unfortunately, I've had bad luck with this brand. In my Maha charger, they show as charged even when they're not, and I have to use the recondition cycle to charge them. I don't have this problem with Powerex brand NiMH. Maybe it's something with the charger. They also self-discharge quickly comparted to Powerex. Please don't regard as a threadcr*p -- I'm just curious about other people's experience with this brand.

It might be because the TechB batteries are 1800mAh when your Maha charger is expecting something higher?

I just picked up a Panasonic charger kit at Costco (Quick Charger + 6AA & 2AAA 2300 mAh NiMh batteries for ~$16) and have been really happy with it so far.:D
