I kind of liked it, too. Better than most horror movies. Could've gone without seeing the guy's member at the beginning of the movie, though. 😛

the first ending really really sucked. i didnt get to see the 2nd one.

but overall i thought hte movie was ok. more action would have been nice. but seeing the empty city and having the car alarm go off was kinda scarry. heh

i forget names, but the two girls take the guy to the hospital & they try to revive him from being shot, but he dies. I think 😕

You're right. The alternate ending actually begins in the hospital sequence (where the guy "dreams" it in the main ending) and it turns ove into the house scene, like the main ending, but without the guy.

...where after they all escape from the compound and they show the 3 main characters surviving while the zombies are finally dying. Then the plane flies over, signifying that the virus was quaranteened to only England. Was that the original or alternate?

original, the alternate was played after the credits...which most people didn't even know. After the movie ended, everyone left except for 10 or so people who knew of the alternate ending.

DOH! Wish I would've known. It's cool for the filmmakers to put that in. Maybe if we had paid more than $9.50 for the movie ticket the theater would have seen it fit to tip the audience off. Oh well, maybe I'll check out the DVD.

Wait so the original ending was with the military fighter plane flying overhead seeing the HELLO sign on the ground. So what was the alternative ending?

That's in both endings - the only thing in the alternate ending is that the guy, after being shot, dies in the hospital.

So when they say "hello" with the letters in the hills, only the girls are there.

When we saw that there was an awkward pause for about 3 seconds, and then the entire theater burst out laughing.
 
saw it today for the first time on DVD, they have the alt endings, some are decent. overall i would say a good movie, technically, the camera angles, the differant shots, how the camera moved in relation to the actor. In that aspect it was good. The story and what not were good also, but i think the ending, the one shown in theaters, was kinda of a cop out but it kinda of gives finality to the movie and virus

pretty good, until he goes rambo then its all downhill. the digital video was horrible.. atleast in the theater.
