I need feedback on the following build:

  1. My PC will primarily be used for gaming and watching videos but maybe also for photo editing.
  2. My budget is around $2750.
  3. I will buy my parts in Denmark.
  4. I will be buying from following vendors:
    komplett.dk
    alternate.dk
    proshop.dk
    computersalg.dk
  5. I don't have any brand preference.
  6. I already have keyboard, mouse, speakers and OS.
  7. I'm not sure if I want to overclock. For now I think I will just run the system at default speeds.
  8. I will be using a 2560x1440 monitor.
  9. I'm going to build the PC as soon as possible.

CPU: Get the 4790k instead.
CPU cooler: I'm partial to Noctua coolers, when I upgrade my CPU I'll be going with one of their products. I think the price of NH-U14S is about the same as the one you've chosen. Although if you don't want to OC I'm sure the stock Intel one will suffice; if not, go with a cheaper CM Evo 212.
Mobo: Any particular reason for choosing such an expensive motherboard? I'd look into the Asus Z97-A or -K ones.
Memory: Looks fine to me.
SSD : You could consider the MX100 if you want to save a bit of money.
HDD : Looks fine as well.
GPU: I know the Asus cards were criticized at launch for using a cooler that didn't completely fit the 290X chip. I'm not sure if that was fixed. Also, the R9 290 or GTX 780 perform almost as well, but for a lot less money. Have you considered those?
Case: Any reason for choosing such an expensive case? Seems wildly unnecessary. I really like my Fractal Design Arc Midi R2
PSU: Same question as above; that seems a crazy amount to pay for 750W PSU. Furthermore, for a single GPU system, 550W will in most cases be enough. I'd probably get a 650W though, which ought to be quite a bit cheaper than the G-750.
ODD : Not much to say here.
Monitor: I've got the U2713HM, very happy with it. Not sure what the difference between HM and H is.

Getting the 4770K at this point makes no sense. If you want to overclock get the i5 4670K. If you don't feel like overclock but may want to in the future and you have the budget, get the i7 4790K.

That said, as Freddy noted, a lost of these parts seem like you're spending money for thge sake of spending money. You could have an LGA2011 PC in that budget...

If you're going to be spending DKK, then you should give your budget in DKK. Your links all go to uk.pcpartpicker.com, which gives prices in GBP and uses UK vendors, whereas the text you pasted uses USD but links to Danish vendors. Can you post a new list with all prices and budgets in the currency that you will be spending?

Here is my list with prices in DKK and with links to danish vendors:

That's a $2216 build, I'd get the Noctua NH-D14 as it outperforms the U series and is significantly less money than the NH-D15. However your website says it does not have it in Socket 1150 for some reason.

That's an $106 power supply I think you're still overpaying for that one, find one with higher wattage or a gold certification (and rebates, but those deals change often).

I tried to make a cheaper build while still having about the same performance. What do you think?

It seems like that the Noctua NH-D14 will fit on a socket 1150 motherboard:

Are any of these a better option?

SeaSonic S12G 650W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply kr. 846.49

This looks a lot better to me. You've managed to cut 20% off the price while keeping performance very close.

You can shave about kr. 30 off the PSU by going with the Seasonic S12 620W (the XFX is based on this platform). It's plenty of power for an R9 290 configuration and priced well. Going for Gold certification only makes sense if you can pay back the higher purchase price with power savings over 5 years. That depends on your electric rate.

I will be going with the Seasonic S12 620W then.

Since i'm going to overclock I would like to hear if there are any guides you can recommend.

Also how much would I be able to overclock and how much overclocking would be smart/safe?

That looks good to me, perhaps the only thing that I would change is the CPU to an i5 4690K for improved overclocking. I would say that a 4.4 GHz is a reasonable target. Eurogamer was able to hit that mark with a Hyper 212.

I would go for the 4690K also.

If you would like some advise from a danish crowd (regarding vendors etc.), I would recommend going to the forums on hwt.dk

Ok I wil be going with the i5 4690K.

Thanks for the help everybody!
