very very very very very very very very very bad things.

the rocker arms(those 4 things sticking out on top of the "bar") notice the 4 that are far away are whole, while the closer ones are chewed to pieces.

Yea I see that now 🙁 What kind of bike/engine do you have? Are there replacement ones you can buy?

The cam lobes wore through the rocker arms? I've never heard of such a thing. What is that engine out of? Looks like an old inline 4.

got some oem replacements from a local, unfortunately this is over my head and I'm running at about 90 hours of work and school right now. Got a good mechanic doing me some favors and taking care of it, going over everything and getting it back together. Probably going to have the heads opened up some while it's apart.

do better than that, find me an original exhaust system for cheap

Good luck with that. You're looking at no less than a grand for an original exhaust for that bike..if you can find one. Trouble is, they don't make them anymore and most of the original ones have rotted away or been damaged in a crash or on clean bikes that command a hefty price.

Just buy a MAC aftermarket 4 into 2; I had one on my old CB750 when I owned it. They cost about $400 brand new.

They've actually started to make some again, from an original supplier with updated baffles

still pricey.

Also some oem from the honda warehouses have been poppin gup for around $600, got an email out to one right now to see if they still have some, but its not really in the budget right now.

That link you posted is in British Pounds.

? 694.00 = $ 993.00

That thing must have been a dog just before you tore it down. It also seems like there should have been a fair bit of noise involved.

On the SOHC 750's, there are tiny oil jets under the cam towers that hold the camshafts. These keep the pressure high enough to run plain bearing cams. I can just about guarantee that the jet under that side of the tower is plugged. If you used silicone sealant on a case cover, instead of replacing the gasket, it may have broken a little piece free, going through the oiling system to plug the jet. That thing had to make some very loud mechanical noises while this was happening, like squeaking, screeching. K+L Supply offers replacement cam towers, but rockers and cam will have to be oem. Looking for a used motor might be easier.
