But is the 2700X better than the equivalently-priced R5 3600? Not quite a thread-crap, but I had a 2700 (non-X), OCed to 4.0Ghz @ ~1.35V, and I much prefer the R5 3600, even with less overall cores. It's making MORE money mining, compared to the 2700 @ 4.0Ghz, so there's that.
But a 2700X should OC to what, 4.2-4.3Ghz maybe? Could be a wash. And of course, compatibility with older mobos is better with the 2700X.
